This piece is stunning and carries an almost ethnic vibe with the lovingly made, handpainted oblong multicolored beads, surrounded by other styles of lampworked glass and Czech crystals. Most subtle are the very few red seed beads, just enough to pick up the slivers of reds in the main oblong beads.
Lampwork is a type of glasswork that uses a gas fueled torch to melt rods and tubes of glass. Once in a molten state, the glass is formed by blowing and shaping with tools and hand motions. It is also known as flameworking or torchworking.
